GUILDERLAND- Patricia A. Commisso, 70, of Guilderland, passed away on Sunday September 14, 2008 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Margaret Snow.
Pat was a longtime communicant of Holy Cross Church and had been very active with Holy Cross School over the years. Her life revolved around her cherished family. Patty was a generous and loving wife, mother and grandmother who worked tirelessly for her family. Her love and care was reciprocated by her family. Pat had worked as a secretary at St. Pius X Church.
Patty is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joseph A. Commisso; her beloved daughter Mary (Lee) Warren and her devoted son Joseph (Renee) Commisso. She is also survived by her four grandchildren that were her pride and joy and a tremendous source of strength over the years, particularly in recent months; Nicholas Warren, Kyle Warren, Samuel and Sophia Commisso. Patty touched the lives of her extended family members in a special way including multiple in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins especially Eileen Bartels with whom she maintained a lifetime bond. She leaves behind many close friendships lasting over 50 years.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the many devoted caregivers, especially Noreen McMahon and Dr. Michael Welch. Special thanks to Fr. Michael Farano for his continued support and guidance.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. Pius X Church. Loudonville. Interment will follow immediately at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. At the request of the family, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd.
