GUILDERLAND – Patricia A. Dawson, 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland.
Patricia was born on August 17, 1934 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Florence (Szesnat) Dacey. She is also the wife of the late William J. Dawson, mother of the late Brian Dawson and sister of the late Margaret "Peggy" Cramer, Thomas, Paul, and Robert Dacey.
Patricia was a clerk for the NYS Department of Education for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Granny Squares. She loved to travel, swim, knit, crochet, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her sons, William J. (Bernadette) Dawson of East Greenbush and Kevin (Laurel) Dawson of Albany; her daughters, Nadine (Ken) Noland of West Sand Lake and Lisa Keehan of Brookline, NH; her brothers, William Dacey, Ronald "Jackie" Dacey, Richard Dacey, and Leo (Carol) Dacey; her grandchildren, Candice (Michael) Agne, William J. (Erin) Dawson III, James Dawson, Allison and Darren Gorman, Brittany and Jonathan Noland, Bridget and Aidan Keehan, and Michael Dawson; her great grandchildren, Renee, Noelle, Michael, Lee, William IV, and Kennadee and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A graveside committal service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of NENY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Patricia.
