Patricia A. Purcell

Delmar- Patricia A. Purcell, 62, passed away on June 29, 2016 at her home. She was born on August 30, 1953 in Cobleskill, NY. Pat worked for 35 years for the New York State Department of State, Division of Community Services until her retirement in 2009.
Pat's biggest joy was her grandchildren. She would take them to the pool in the summer any chance she could. Pat loved to spend time with family and friends especially having BBQs. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Pat would like to test her luck at Turning Stone and doing scratch offs with her son-in-law Joe. Pat's zest for life and sense of humor will be missed by all.
Pat is survived by her daughter and best friend April (Joe) Purcell-Bacon; her beloved grandchildren: Isaiah Umoh and Giavanna Bacon and her faithful companion Boomer.
Per Pat's request, there will be no services.
One of Pat's greatest accomplishments was sending her grandson to Albany Academy for Boys. Her only wish was that memorial contributions be made in her name to The Albany Academy for Boys, 135 Academy Road, Albany, NY 12208.
