Patricia A. Ryan

DELMAR – Patricia A. Ryan, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 08, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Flint, MI she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Eva (Walters) Moore. She had resided in Delmar since 1971. Pat had a Master's Degree in Education. She was a former communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. Pat was a cub-scout den leader and volunteered at the former Child's Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Pat is the beloved wife of nearly 56 years to John J. Ryan. She is the devoted mother of Jacqueline (Mark) Johnson, Michael (Kim) Ryan, Thomas (Antoinette) Ryan and Kevin (Maura) Ryan. She is the cherished grandmother of Brendan Johnson, Sean, Lindsey, Kate and Nicole Ryan, Samantha and Jack Ryan and Patrick Ryan. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her brother, Joseph A. Moore.


Funeral services will be Friday at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pinewest Plaza, Suite 204, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Patricia A. Ryan.
