GUILDERLAND – Patricia Ann Tymchyn went to her eternal rest, surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Pat was born January 28, 1941 in Albany. She is the daughter of the late Alton and Blanche Fisher La Roche, and late stepmother, Evangeline La Roche.
Pat was a 1958 graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany. Her working career included employment with Travelers Insurance, Friendly Hometoy Parties and Georgia Pacific, where she met the love of her life, Walter J. Tymchyn. Among Pat and Walt's favorite times were teaching line dancing in and around Albany. Through their "Get in Line and Dance" company, they met and made many friends. Pat enjoyed selling her handmade items and meeting people at local craft fairs. She was also an avid crossword puzzler.
Pat is the sister of the late George Kenneth La Roche.
She will be missed by her family; her husband and best friend of 42 years, Walter; sister and brother-in-law Ida and Robert Trollinger of San Antonio, Texas; sons John M. Tymchyn of Connecticut and Scott A. Tymchyn of Guilderland; daughter and son-in-law Stacie Ann and Nick Farina of Stephentown, and her beloved beagle, Lucy. Other family members included many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pat's family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Albany Memorial Hospital and Albany Dialysis Center for the care, kindness and love they gave to Pat.
At the request of Pat and her family, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Pat's life. Friends and family are invited to the Church at the Crossroads, State Route 43 in Stephentown, for 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2012. In lieu of flowers, Pat requested donations be made to Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection, 341 Northern Boulevard, Albany, NY 12204 or your local ASPCA.
