Patricia J. Blake

Green Island- Patricia J. Blake, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Irene McElroy. Patricia was the devoted wife to the late Robert E. Blake. They were married 31 years.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking for them. She was an animal lover with a fondness for cats. Patricia always had a book in her hands. She had a true passion for reading.

Patricia is survived by children, Robin L. (Marcel) Desautels, Michael R. Blake, William E. (Gwendolyn) Blake; grandchildren, Daniel M. Desautels and Robert E. Blake; her beloved cat, Bitty; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Patricia is predeceased by her siblings, Daniel, Eugene, Ronald, and Fredrick McElroy.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals , 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Tuesday December 14, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patricia's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123
