Patricia J. Butch

September 6, 1926 — January 3, 2024

Albany- Patricia J. Butch, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. She was the daughter of the late William and Frances Carey. Patricia was the devoted wife to the late Edward Butch. They were married 50 wonderful years.

Patricia was born in Cohoes, New York and resided in Schenectady, New York for most of her life. After graduating from high school in 1944, Patricia worked for General Electric until starting her family. Later in life, Patricia returned to the workforce as a salesperson until eventually retiring from The Carl Company in Schenectady, New York.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family; going on vacations with them and celebrating holiday gatherings. Most of all, Patricia cherished the time and memories she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Cynthia E. Bentley and Marcia J. (Robert) Setaro; grandchildren, Andria (Rob) Bentley Magee, Brian (Emma) Setaro, and Amanda (Aaron) Hanley; great grandchildren, Evan and Connor Setaro; sister-in-law, Dorothy Butch; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Patricia is predeceased by her son, Thomas E. Butch; and her sister, Frances Piotrowski.

Services will be held privately for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patricia's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
