Patricia Cain
October 14, 1944 — April 20, 2017
It is with a very heavy heart that we share that Pat Cain, formerly of Sloansville, passed away on April 20,2017.
Pat's greatest pleasure was being with Bert and the "kids" - Angel and Moosey. They were by her side daily as she slowly left them.
Pat was a data entry operator for NYS Tax and Finance, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed bowling (being a 600 club member), camping in the Adirondacks and, especially, having dinner with friends at Vrooman's in Caroga Lake during camping season.
Pat is survived by Bert Carlson, her best friend and partner of 23 years, her "dog-kids" Angel and Moosey, and many cousins.
Bert wants to thank Penny, Martha, Phillis, Carol, Robin and Bobbi for the help that they gave Pat these past 4 months. A special thank you to Caiden Schermerhorn - you were her "favorite" and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Bert also wants to thank Pat's aides at the Fulton Center for their help and U know who U are!
A celebration of Pat's life will be held Saturday April 29, 2017 from 10-12 noon at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Albany NY 12205.
Since Pat was always in jeans, we are asking that you wear jeans, a T-shirt or sweatshirt and sneakers in her memory!
Pat had a lifelong love of dogs. We request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your local animal shelter or Pet Connection c/o Steve Caporizzo, 341 Northern Blvd, Albany NY, 12204.
