WESTMERE – Patricia D. Brown, 72, of Westmere, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 26, 2010 at her daughter's residence.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Emerson and Edith Van Deusen. Along with her late husband Lehman, they had owned and operated Brownies Tree Service from 1964 through 2000. More recently, she was employed with JC Penny at Crossgates for several years. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Pat's everyday was centered around her loving family. She was a selfless caregiver to all of her family and friends and she had a special love for all animals. Pat was predeceased in December of 2009 by her beloved husband of 54 years Lehman Brown.
Pat is the cherished mother of Lehman L. (Eleanor) Brown of Greenwich, Candice M. (Stephen) Church of Voorheesville and Michael E. Brown of Westmere. She is the treasured grandmother of Kenneth Brown of Ravena, Lehman L. (Jill) Brown Jr. of Colonie, Tyler G. Brown of Latham, Kimberly (Joseph) Wait of Schuylerville, Patricia Billings of Greenwich, Brandon J. Church of San Diego, CA., Stevie L., Landon C., and Nico Church all of Voorheesville. She is the loving great grandmother of Sara Brown. Pat is the sister of the late Betty Conrad and Anita Richardson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at Rensselaer Open Bible Baptist Church, 1615 Third Street, Rensselaer. Interment will be private at Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Capital District Cancer Resource Foundation, 1003 Loudon Rd. Latham, NY 12110 or Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Patricia D. Brown.
