SCHENECTADY- Patricia "Patty or Pat" Hernandez, 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was born on May 05, 1963 in Lawton, Oklahoma into the Eagle Clan of Otoe-Missouria tribe to her mother Endo Jean Yeahquo and father Carl Windbower.
She relocated to Schenectady, New York in 1981. She was always a very hardworking woman who took pride in providing for her children. Patty truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family, watching thunderstorms from the front porch and sitting in the backyard on a nice day with an ice cold beer .
Patty found her longtime soul mate Daniel Du'Shane who preceded her in death on August of 2018, the two of them met in 1993 and spent their days enjoying everything life had to offer, the two of them loved to take rides and travel on the back of Dan's Harley Davidson; they wholeheartedly believed in the slogan "live to ride, ride to live", and spent many days watching the sun go down over rivers across the Hudson.
Pat had a big open heart and loved with no limits, she accepted everyone. She had a love for all animals, she especially took a liking to eagles and parakeets.
To many she was the strongest woman, a fierce leader. She wasn't afraid of anything or anyone. She lived her life the way she wanted, she was stubborn so it wouldn't matter what you had to say anyway. Most of all she loved her family and instilled strong values in our hearts. She will be truly deeply missed.
She was the beloved mother to two sons, Richard Hernandez, Brandon Giovannangelo and her one daughter, Shawna Hernandez. She is also survived by her only best friend Genevieve Mcintyre and her husband Bill and their two sons David and Fred; her daughters-in-law, Latisha and Cindy; her five grandchildren, Allana Hernandez, Richard "RJ" Hernandez, Jordan Hernandez, Alexander Giovannangelo and Noah Giovannangelo; her sister Enda Debartolo and her brother, Odas and Vanessa Hernandez; her favorite aunt Terry and many friends and family… oh and her granddog Mumu, All of which she loved very much.
