Patricia Heywood, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Our Lady of Hope Residence, Latham. She was born in Albany to the late Stephen and Regina (Taylor) Snyder.
Patricia graduated from Albany High in 1954 and worked for Mechanics and Farmers bank for many years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and Nanny. She loved cooking, making homemade cards on the computer as well as bass fishing with her husband.
Her vocation in life was prayer. She loved to pray for those who asked it of her. She had a special place in her heart for the Divine Mercy being a member of the Friends of Mercy at Stockbridge MA. In addition to her parents Patricia was predeceased by her Loving husband of 39 years, Robert Heywood.
Patricia is survived by her children Nadine (Paul) Audino , Denise (Ross) Hendrick, Donna (Anthony) Barranca and Robert (Jennifer) Heywood; she is the cherished Nanny of John, Christopher, Patrick, Vincent, Thomas, Anthony, Nicole (Joe), Amanda, Austin, Brandon, Ashley (Eliezer), Victoria (Adam) and Jacob; she is the sister of Gerane Edwards; aunt of William (Maura) Edwards, she is also survived by many close friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Residence Chapel, 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham, with a calling hour prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
