Albany – Patricia A. Hoit, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday July 21,2010 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
Patricia was born in Syracuse the daughter of the late Dorothy and William Grieves, moved to Albany with her family as a child and has been a resident since. As a young woman, she worked at Albany Medical Center Hospital in the business office. Patricia enjoyed reading, movies, her soap operas, country music, especially Alan Jackson and above all she loved her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Hoit and brother William Grieves, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Diane (Ernest) Buel and Jennifer (Dennis) Hoit - Dugan and grandchildren: Kevin Hoit, Victoria Dugan and Nathaniel Dugan.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff of St. Peter's Hospital, especially Sue in ICU, Donna and Christine of 4 N.R. and all the nurses of the Hospice Inn.
The funeral service will be 11:00am Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday 3:00 to 5:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial Contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
