COLONIE – Patricia Heines Kissane, 72, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland. She was born in Carbondale, PA and was the daughter of the late Mary and William Heines. Pat was a graduate of Saratoga High School and Oneonta State College. She received her master's degree from S.U.N.Y. Albany. Mrs. Kissane was a school teacher and reading specialist for over thirty five years in the Guilderland, Schenectady and Whitesboro areas. She was an avid skier, tennis player and golfer. Pat was a member of the Timeless Tappers, a senior tap dancing group performing in the Capital District. She was active in animal welfare, placing many stray pets in good homes. Mrs. Kissane is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Leville. She is the sister of Teresa (Gerbers) Heines, Clara Heines Leville, Elaine Heines Stallworth and her husband, Charles. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Kissane, her brothers, Ford and William Heines and her sisters, Joan Fagan and Alice Gill.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning at 11:00 at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Patricia A. Kissane.
