SCHENECTADY – Patricia L. Searles, 88, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home.
Patricia was born on March 15, 1921 in Cooperstown and was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Snyder) Kinne. She was an L.P.N. at Ellis Hospital for over 30 years, before retiring in the mid 1980's.
Patricia was an avid reader and Boston Red Sox fan; enjoyed traveling and history; loved the outdoors, especially the ocean and beaches; and most importantly spending time with her family.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Linn B. (Ilona) Searles of St. Louis Park, MN and Stephen K. (Deborah) Searles of Schenectady; her granddaughters, Tracy (Kurt) Ratigan and Barbara (Tim) Gregg; her step-grandsons, Michael, Steven and Patrick Prindle; her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Katarina, Timothy and Isabella; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard G. Searles and her brothers, Robert and Thomas Kinne.
A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Patricia L. Searles.
