COLONIE – Patricia M. Dame Clark Pelton, 84, of Holly Hills, FL, formerly of Colonie, died peacefully at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Pelton and she passed away on Friday November 21, 2008, on what would have been their 64th wedding anniversary.
Pat was born in Plattsburgh on April 29, 1924. She had worked for New York Telephone in Plattsburg before being transferred to Albany. Pat also was employed at Williams Press and retired from NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. While in Colonie, she was an active member of the Colonie Elks Ladies Auxiliary and a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Pat enjoyed bowling bingo and was an avid New York Yankee fan.
She was predeceased by her son Patrick J. Pelton in 2007. Pat is the loving mother of Michael (Joyce) Pelton, Charles Pelton (Nancy Bombard), Joseph Pelton, William (Karen) Pelton, Pam Hirsch (Ed Thompson), Ruthann Benedict, Patsy (Larry) Goble and Janice (Scott) Libertucci. She is the loving mother in law of Betty Jean Pelton and Kathy Pelton. Pat is the sister of Phyllis Rushford and Janice Wilson. She is the dear friend of Kathy Nucci. Pat is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:45 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
