Patricia M. Rivers

Albany - Patricia Rivers passed away on April 1, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 12, 1938, and was the daughter of Peter Hulsopple, and her beloved mother, Agnes Kaufman Hulsopple. Patricia lived a simple, self-sufficient life and was kind to everyone she encountered. She worked at Tobin Packing Co. for 25 years and retired from the Albany School District (Arbor Hill) after 10 years of service.
She was predeceased by her dear husband, Wilfred "Bill" Rivers with whom she enjoyed 16 wonderful years. He introduced his "city girl" to the great outdoors and together they enjoyed many evenings around a campfire.
Throughout the years, Patricia remained extremely close to her sister, Agnes Soules, and brother, Emerson "Bob" Hulsopple, both of whom cared for her lovingly throughout her illness. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews whom she loved greatly. She was predeceased by her sisters, Ann Dextraze and Irene Selke, as well as her brother Peter Hulsopple.
There will be a private service at St. Agnes Cemetery with Patricia's favorite priest, Father Bradley of Blessed Sacrament Church, presiding.
