Patricia O'Rourke, 92, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Daisy (Roe) Carroll.
She was the loving wife of the late James F. O'Rourke and celebrated 40 years of marriage before his passing in 1993. Mrs. O'Rourke was a graduate of Milne School. She worked for the New York Telephone Co. for eight years until retiring. She lived in Westmere for 45 years and was a communicant at Christ the King Church. She loved quilting and painting. She was a member of the Guilderland Garden Club and won numerous ribbons for her flower arrangements. She enjoyed reading and playing cards with her friends at Marie Rose Manor where she was a resident for many years.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Colleen Dykeman of Dunsburg, son Patrick (Judy) of Galway, and John (Connie) of Wurtsboro, NY; Her good friend and niece Judianne Drebitko of Schoharie, her grandchildren Patty and James Dykeman, Trevor and Ryan O'Rourke, Jacqueline, Virginia and Brendon and Sean O'Rourke; Dorthey O'Rourke; her great-grandchildren Lena Nigam, James and Lillian O'Rourke, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Patricia was predeceased by her son James Michael, and son-in-law Terry Dykeman.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Covenant House, 461 8th Ave Ste 2, New York, NY 10001.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Inurnment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
