COLONIE - On Sunday, November 19th, 2023, Patricia Rainis passed away peacefully at the age of 85. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished friend and doting grandmother.
Born in Albany, NY on October 20th 1938 to Anita and Aldo Tassinari. Patricia, affectionately known as Pat, lived, worked, and raised her family in Colonie. She was truly loved by all and seen as a second mother to many over the years. Pat enjoyed gardening, dancing, golfing, shopping and spending winters in Myrtle Beach with her love Don. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and was, unequivocally, the matriarch of merriment. Pat left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to share in her journey.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Donald Rainis, her children, Amy (Mike) Wilson, Kari (Todd) Battuello, and Colleen (Scott) Masa, Lorna Milburn, Susan(Mike) Wickham, Paul (Denise) Rainis,Clara (Larry)Rainis, . Grr Grr will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Noah, Sophia, Jackson and Serafina, John, Stacy, Paul, Mary, Michelle and great grandchildren Christopher, Paige, Morgan and Sadie. She was the beloved aunt to Scott (Kelly) Smith, Kelly (Joe) Tortello , their families, Pamela DeAngelo as well the Faubel families. She was an amazing confidant and beloved friend to her cousins and ALL that knew her.
Special gratitude is extended to her honorary daughter, Sherry Sherman (PA), for the unwavering companionship that enriched Patricia's later years.
Patricia was predeceased by Jacob Faubel, her sisters, Joan (Jim) Tosh and Dee (Fred) Smith, Michael Tosh, John Milburn, Scott Rainis, Stephen Wickham and Fred Smith Jr.
Friends and family may call Monday, November 27th from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals on 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY 12205. A Funeral and Memorial Service will be celebrated at 1:00 PM following visitation. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd Albany, NY.
