Patricia A. Rucinski

Colonie—Patricia A. Rucinski, 81, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Hugh F. and Marie P. Donnelly. She is predeceased by her husband, William E. Rucinski, Sr.

Pat was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and then went on to work for the New York State Senate/Assembly. She then worked for the Albany County Sheriff's Department before retiring. Growing up she was proud being the daughter of the Mayor of Watervliet. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family especially her eight grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Bill Rucinski, Jr. (Nora), Laurie A. Schlansker (Dick), and Brian T. Rucinski. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matt, Dan and Beth Rucinski, Kevin, Brian and Kelly Schlansker and Jessica and Katie Rucinski. Patricia also leaves behind her sister, Joan M. Sherlock and her two nieces, Geri Dydych and Katie Sherlock as well as former daughter in law Judy A. Rucinski.


Pat was predeceased by her daughter in law, Linda Martino Rucinski.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 9:00am-10:00am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hour at the Church starting at 10:00am. Interment will take place at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
