Patricia C. Simonson, 85, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018.
Born in Saranac, NY on November 24, 1932, Patricia was the daughter of the late Paul and Lydia (Morse) Connor. She was the devoted wife of Merritt W. Simonson. Together they were married 57 years.
Loving mother of Kristine Ryder of Rensselaer and Karen Fairlee of Schenectady. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her siblings; Paul Connor, Ralph Connor, Jean Hermans, Robert Connor and Mary Louise Nimmo.
Received her degree in nursing from Albany Med (then connected with Union College) nursing program as a Registered Nurse.
Patricia served in both private duty and in hospitals. Later and for most of her career, Patricia was employed with Albany Medical Center, where she retired from.
Patricia was a member of Pineview Community Church, where she ministered as an assistant Sunday School teacher and was a faithful prayer warrior.
Patricia was a very loving and caring person who enjoyed spending time with her family and found peace in reading, specifically medical publications. She also enjoyed watching golf on television.
Committal Prayers will be offered at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, October 9th in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pineview Community Church, 251 Washington Ave Ext, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Patricia C. Simonson
