SCHENECTADY- Patricia J. Urschel, 76, passed away on July 21, 2017.
She was born on March 4, 1941 to the late Harold and Mildred (Bryant) VanWormer in Albany.
Patricia worked for many years at Key Bank in Corporate Woods in Albany. In addition to her work outside the home, Patricia was a very dedicated homemaker for her family. She was an excellent cook and baker.
She had a very special compassion and love for animals. Patricia loved taking trips with her sisters, shopping and living life with a smile. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, sister and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.
Patricia is survived by her loving daughter, Doreen Sangalli; grandchildren, Douglas (Tara Wallace) Sangalli, Melissa Sangalli; siblings, Joanne Sokaris, Carol (Frank) Szemplinski, Harold "Sonny" (Carol) VanWormer, Edward (Charlotte) VanWormer; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Michael Urschel; grandson, Paul Michael Sangalli and brother-in-law, Ted Sokaris.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 5-7pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A service will begin at 7pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
