COLONIE – Patricia Walrath, 86, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 15, 1937 in Catskill.
Patricia Graduated from Windham Central School. She earned her Teaching Degree in Oneonta and her Masters' Degree from St. Rose College.
On December 18, 1960, Patricia married Philip D. Walrath and together they were residents of Colonie for more than 50 years. Together, they were also longtime members of the Community Reformed Church of Colonie. Patricia was a teacher with the South Colonie Central School District from 1960 to 1992.
She was predeceased by her husband, Philip in 2014.
Patricia is survived by her children, Charlene Clark (Daniel), Debra Mafrici (William) and Melissa Grega (Bob); her grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt), Jeremy (Maggie), Jocelyn, Zachary, Kyle (Kendell) Dylan, Mackenzie, Cody and Hayley; her great grandchildren, Kylie, Channing, Payton, Marley, Maycee and Hunter; her sister, Margaret Hayes and sister-in-law Elaine Herzog (Dick) and Patricia's "Arizona daughter", Judy Philips
Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a funeral service immediately following at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 10, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 1003 Loudon Rd, Cohoes, NY 12047.
