Patrick E. Byrne

Albany- Patrick E. Byrne, 31, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2017 at his home. Born on October 12, 1985 in Albany, NY, he was the son of Cynthia (Edgell) Byrne and the late Hubert Byrne. He graduated from LaSalle Institute in 2003 and Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in Automotive Technology in 2012. Patrick worked as an Auto Tech for H&V Collision Center in Troy, NY. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, kayaking and loved taking long rides on his KTM motorcycle. Patrick was a loving father to his two children and a caring son.
In addition to his mother, Patrick is survived by his children, Jackson and Lily, and their mother, Kimberly Bulger; his step siblings: Roxanne Emerick, Dusty Byrne, Hugh Byrne and Elizabeth Vadney; his maternal grandparents, Betty and Ralph Edgell, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his faithful four-legged companion, Bocephus, better known as "Bo." In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Patrick and Rita Byrne.
Memorial visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, May 19 at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 20, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1580 Central Ave., Colonie. Burial will be at 10am on June 10th at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2150 Central Ave., Schenectady, NY.
