Patrick M. Myrtle, 57, a lifelong resident of Albany, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home after a long illness. He was the son of the late Robert J. Myrtle Sr. and Katherine (Primett) Myrtle. He owned his own business Better Welding.
Patrick was truly a family man and friend to many. He was a kind and gentle person, who never lost his sense of humor and enriched many lives. He was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed vacations with family and friends. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in Korea. He is a member of the American Legion Zaloga Post and the VFW Post Sheehy- Palmer.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Mary Carroll (McCullough) Myrtle, their children Jason M. Myrtle and his wife Jennifer, Lynda J. (Myrtle) Senecal and her husband Jacque and Sean Patrick Myrtle. He has six grandchildren; Heather, Tyler, Jason Jr., Kyle, Brayden and Chase. He is also survived by his seven siblings; Maureen (Robert) Ensign, Michael Patrick Myrtle, Deborah (Stephen) Searles, Kathleen Myrtle, Robert (Patricia) Myrtle, Steven (Marianne) Myrtle and Hugh (Carol) Myrtle, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends which he loved dearly.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at the First Church of Albany, 110 N. Pearl Street Albany. The family will receive friends for calling hours on Monday from 3 to 8 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a late date.
