LATHAM – Patrick N. Martone, 74, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Patrick was born on February 1, 1939 in Troy and was the son of the late Nicholas and Jennie (DeLorenzo) Martone and brother of the late Nicholas Martone. He graduated from LaSalle Institute in 1956 and was inducted into the LaSalle Hall of Fame in 2007. He graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor's in Finance and a Master's in Business Administration. He served in the US Army 27th Infantry Division Wolfhound from 1960 to 1964 and was a member of the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post 1520. He worked for Norton Company, Cluett and Peabody and retired as director of EDP Audit for NYS. He was a board member, chairman and past president of the Italian Community Center in Troy.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Grace (Milano) Martone; his loving children, Jennifer (Barry) Barnes, Frances Boyer and Patrick J. Martone; his cherished grandchildren, Patrick, Michael and Francesca; his sister-in-law, Frances Pignone and nephews, Charles Joseph (Laurie) and Vincent.
A special thank you for the extraordinary care provided by the staff at Clifton Park Rubin Dialysis Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Church, 28 State St., Troy. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy. Calling hours will be at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
As per Patrick's request, memorial contributions may be made to the Clifton Park Rubin Dialysis Center, 21B The Crossings, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
