Patrick Pelton

Patrick John Pelton, 57 of Colonie, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 1, 2007.

Pat was born on October 2, 1950. Son of Patricia Dame Pelton and the late Charles R. Pelton and was raised in Colonie. He leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 22 years, Kathy. In addition to their children Patrick and Stephanie, he is also survived by his son Todd DuPuis, brothers Michael, Charles, Joseph, and William Pelton, and sisters Pam Hirsch, Ruthann Bennedict, Patricia Goble, Janice Libertucci, their spouses and 34 nieces and nephews.

At the time of his death he was a Sales Representative at Sears Brand Central. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps on Marine Amphibious Unit during the Vietnam War and also spent 4 years in the Army National Guard. Pat was an avid Yankee and New York Giants fan. He was a devoted father and husband and enjoyed camping, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 at Newcomer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd (Rt. 155-South of Central Ave.) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 11:00 am where the Mass of Christian Burial will b celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Pat would encourage everyone to be tested for Hepatitis C, "the silent killer", especially those who have served in Vietnam
