SCHENECTADY, NY – Patsy L. (Pasquale) Amorosi, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 01, 2008 at Ellis Hospital. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Anthony and Pasqualine Amorosi. Patsy was a Schenectady resident for all of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country during World War II with the Artillery Division. Mr. Amorosi was a well-known businessman in his community for over 25 years where he owned and operated the Carousel Shoe Box. Patsy was a loving and giving man, always willing to help anyone, especially children in need. He was dedicated and devoted to his Lord. Patsy is the beloved husband of Eleanor (Hunter) Amorosi and the late Constance (DeCarlo) Amorosi. He is the devoted father of Patricia Amorosi of Schenectady and Joseph (Leamarie) Amorosi of Clifton Park. He is the brother of Angelina Mango and Julius, Joseph (Lucy) and Andrew (Beverly) Amorosi, all of Schenectady. Patsy is the cherished grandfather of Tressa M. Amorosi, Susan S. Conroy and Audra R., Joseph M., Brett A., and Bryce A. Amorosi. Also surviving are six loving great-grandchildren and five nieces and nephews. Patsy's family would like to thank Ellis Hospital D4 and D6 and Schenectady Hospice for all of the care given to him during his illness.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 in memory of Patsy L. Amorosi.
