RENSSELAER-Paul A. Muller, of Colonie, age 87, passed to God's care on Monday, May 2, 2016 after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Reverend Dr. George Muller and Gertrude Muller of Paterson, New Jersey. Paul is survived by a brother, Reverend Edwin Muller of Poughkeepsie, New York, his wife of 62 years, Catherine E. (Burzynski) Muller formerly of Chicopee, Massachusetts and three children, Patricia (Dennis) Pedone, Robert (Aileen) Muller, and Susan Muller. Paul will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. Paul was also pre-deceased by his brothers John and Bob.
Paul graduated from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania and received his Master's Degree from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He played ball for the Chicago White Sox as a pitcher, until he was drafted into the US Marine Corps during the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant. Paul spent his career as Director of Athletics and Physical Education with the Berlin Central School District, where as coach he led the Berlin soccer team to 280 victories, a milestone for the District. Following his retirement he stayed active with his three grandchildren who enriched his life.
Paul will be interred at Memory Gardens in a private family ceremony.
