COLONIE – Paul B. Uhl, 82, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday August 30, 2012 at the Inn of Community Hospice. He is the beUHL, PAUL B. COLONIE – Paul B. Uhl, 82, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Inn of Community Hospice. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Angus and Lillian Uhl. Paul served in the US Army from 1948 through 1949. He retired in 1982 as a Lieutenant with the Colonie Police Department after a 30 year career. Paul had also worked at the former Heritage Park, Crossings Park and the Town of Colonie Golf Course. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf and pinochle. Paul was a member of the Colonie Elks, Joseph A. Zaloga American Legion Post, Polish American Citizens Club and the Fuller Rd Fire Dept.

Paul is the beloved husband of 59 years to Catherine (Twinkie) Uhl. He is the devoted father of Robert C. Uhl and Edward P. (Pamela) Uhl. He is the brother of the late Robert Uhl. Paul is the cherished grandfather of Michael Uhl, Nichole (Rodney) Stacey, Brooke (Jason) Westervelt, Catherine Uhl and Jimmy Campbell. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Paul B. Uhl.
