Paul R. Canfield

Troy- Paul R. Canfield, 74, passed away unexpectedly April 25, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital, where he had previously been employed as an x-ray technician for 45 years.

Paul will be remembered for his kindness to others, his strong work ethic and his devotion to his family. He also leaves behind a legacy of strength and determination and a great sense of humor. During his lifetime he possessed the ability to know what the right thing to do was and a strong moral compass to follow through on it. If he cared about you, he had your back and you knew it. Although he was a quiet man he was a fierce protector of those he loved and those that witnessed that side of him did not forget it.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Ryan Canfield and his adored daughter, Kristy Canfield. He was predeceased by his cherished son Matt Canfield and at long last reunited with him in Heaven. Paul's memory will be held close in the mind and spirit of all who loved him, including his large loving extended family and friends. He would like Mike and Jack to know that he has just gone ahead to secure them the best camping site.

As per Paul's wishes there will be no services. Celebrate him wherever you are with your favorite sweet or a cold beer.
