Paul Citone

September 21, 1932 — February 26, 2024

Paul Citone, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024 at St. Peter's Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Messina, Sicily, to the late Frank and Angela Citone. Paul was the devoted husband to Guiseppina. They were married for 61 years.

After receiving his Bachelor's in architecture in Sicily, he, his wife, and their first-born son immigrated to New York, where Paul worked as a Structural Designer with DOT until his retirement.

Outside of work, he enjoyed the Saratoga Casino, gardening, cooking for and vacationing with his family.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his sisters Palma Fiacco and Iolanda Citone; his sons Frank (Shanti), Joe (Wendy), and Angelo (Amy); his grandchildren, Marissa, Paolo, Isabella, Paul, Chloe, Jacob, Francesca, Emilene, and Jenna; and his great-grandchildren, Salvatore, Josiah, Grace, and Roman. He was predeceased by his sisters Pina Ricciardi, Maria Vecchio, and Giovanna Abbate.

Calling hours will be held at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211 on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12pm. Entombment will follow the mass at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Paul's name to a charity of your choice.
