Rotterdam- Paul E. Chartier, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2015, with his loving family by his side.
Paulie was born on September 5, 1947 in Woonsocket, RI to the late Ernest and Alice Chartier. When he turned 19 he joined the United States Air Force where he served his country honorably for 20 years. In 2003 he married his wife of 13 years, Lee. Paulie loved fishing, camping, golfing, his RV, going to the casino, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Paulie's family would like to thank the staff at Albany Medical Center, CCU Unit for their love and compassion, especially Mike and Tony.
Paulie is predeceased by his sister, Aline Negri.
He will be remembered by his loving wife, Lee, his children; Michelle Chartier, Kimberlee Williams, Joseph (Terri) Belmonte, and LeeMarie (David) Towns, his 8 cherished grandchildren, his two great-grandchildren (the "Little Guys"), and his siblings from Pennsylvania; Norman (Doris) Chartier, Ernest Chartier, and Susan Jolda, and a host of friends and family
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY, on Sunday July 26, 2015 from 3:00pm-5:00pm with a memorial service to immediately follow. A burial of ashes will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 12:00pm. Family and friends who wish to join may meet at the funeral home at 10:30am.
