Paul Ferrara

SCHENECTADY- Paul E. Ferrara, 92, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on Friday March 16, 2007 at Ellis Hospital. He was born January 21, 1925 in Schenectady and was the son of the late Angelo and Domenica Ferrara.
Paul was a bricklayer with his family business, Angelo Ferraro and Sons. He was a longtime member of the Bricklayers Union # 16 of Schenectady and a former member of the Stanford Heights Fire Dept.
Paul was predeceased in 1979 by his wife, Lillian Jansen Ferrara, his siblings, Carmello, Angelo and Samuel Ferrara, Maria Grimm and Elena Severino; his grandson, Theodore Schaap Jr. He is the beloved father of Margaret (Louis) Gabriel Jr. of Colonie and Donna (Theodore) Schaap of Clifton Park. He is the cherished grandfather of Paul (Debbie) Gabriel of Florida, Teresa (Jeffrey) Sendzicki of Niskayuna, Margaret (Garrett) Toften of Albany, Pamela ( Alan) Fish and Steven (Kristen) Schaap of Clifton Park. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Paul's family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at Glendale Nursing Home C-4 unit and Doris Alois CSW.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning at 9:00 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Schenectady. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be private at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Albany NY 12211 in memory of Paul E. Ferrara.
