COLONIE – Paul G. Heintz, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at home. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Amelia and Fredric Heintz.
Paul lived in Albany County all of his life. He was in the U.S. Army Air Force, 8th Air Force in England, during WWII. Paul retired from Olivetti-Underwood in 1984. He was a member of the Fuller Road Fire Department for 64 years as a Life Member, past President, Treasurer, Financial Secretary on the Board of Directors, and member of the Royal Order of Funsters. He had also been active with the Hudson Valley Fire Association, Hudson-Mohawk Volunteer Fire Association, and Red Vest of Hudson Valley.
Paul was a member of Masters Lodge #5 in Albany, past Master of the Lodge, the old 19th District Association, Scottish Rite of Valley of Albany, Royal Order of Scotland, Cyprus Temple Shrine and the Greater Albany Shrine Club.
Along with his parents, Paul was predeceased by his first wife, Dottie; second wife Hildegard, and brother, John.
He is survived by his nephew Robert Heintz, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
