Paul J. Griggs

COLONIE - Paul J. Griggs, 46, of Colonie, NY and Tampa, FL, passed away March 4, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard M. and Elizabeth J. (Griessel) Griggs. Paul is survived by his brothers Richard (Barbara) from N. Easton, MA, Kenneth, from Colonie, NY, Gerald (Kathy), from Guilderland, NY, and sisters, Kathleen (Ron) from Rotterdam, NY, Barbara (Carl) from East Aurora, NY, aunts Ruth Newport (Gordon) from Guilderland, NY, Loretta (Bill) Lesko, from Syracuse, NY, and an uncle, Raymond Netzer, from Guilderland, NY, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and his dog, Steffi.

Paul graduated from Clarkson University in 1983 and moved from the family home in Rotterdam. He began his career in electrical engineering at United Technologies in Windsor Locks, CT. Later he worked at IBM Corp. in Owego, NY and at Edwards Air Force Base in CA, Binghamton Simulator in Binghamton, NY, BAE in Tampa, FL and Midcom Corp (Boeing) in Anaheim, CA. For most of his career, Paul worked on flight simulation and modeling technologies for integrated training services for both civil and military avionics.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
