ROTTERDAM – Paul M. Hennahan, 1/22/17 - 2/14/10, of Rotterdam, NY, was the son of the late Martin J. and Leona (Weeks) Hennahan of Greenwich, NY. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was the crew foreman for the paint shop at the Voorheesville Army Depot and received commendations for his sign painting and special mural and poster work. After retiring, he held a similar position at the University at Albany.
Paul was also a talented artist, specializing in rural and Adirondack landscapes. He especially loved being up at the family camp on Lake Algonquin in Wells, NY.
He leaves behind both family and friends, including his daughter, Maria Phelan (Michael); his son, Martin Hennahan (Patricia Sacca); and grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Elsie Kuzmich; nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Rhoda and also his sister, Marion Schermerhorn.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Saturday, February 20th, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie.
At the family request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
