Paul M. Himes, Sr.

Colonie- Paul M. Himes, Sr. passed away with his wife by his side on November 30, 2015 at his home. He was 89 years old.
Paul was born on September 9, 1926 in Oswego, NY. He served his country honorably in WWII in the U.S. Army. Paul enjoyed working for the NYS Assembly until his retirement in 2006.
Paul had a love for horse racing and enjoyed visiting various tracks. He enjoyed having breakfast daily with his friends at the Farmer Boy Diner.
Paul is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marjorie and sisters-in law: Marianna (Don) Filarecki, Shirley (Harold Maloney) Sousa and Brother-in law Joe Sousa, several nieces and nephews; his children: Paul M. Himes, Jr., Laurie Zampier and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Phil) Foster; his sisters: Olivia Halen and Barbara Schwitter; his sister-in-law Betty Himes; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, December 3 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm following the visitation. Burial will be held on Friday, December 4 in Fairview Cemetery, Bridgewater, NY.
