Paul C. Varin

Cohoes — Paul C. Varin, born in Chazy Lake, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday September 17, 2024.

He was the beloved father of Sharon Murray (late George) of Watervliet, NY, and Paul Varin I l (Patricia) of Michigan.

Paul was predeceased by his mother, Dollie, his father Vivian, and his siblings Gene, George, Robert, Rufus, Theodore, Agnes, and Theresa. Also, Paul is predeceased by his long-time live-in partner Marie Oliver.

He is survived by his brothers Leon, Norman, Roger, and Vivian, as well as his sisters Alberta, Priscilla, and Constance.

Paul also leaves behind his grandchildren Brandy Murray (Tyler), Jessica Varin, Rehiannon Varin, Ryan Varin, and 3 great grandchildren Damon Murray, Everett Murray, and Hadley McIntosh as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply. And especially his beloved cat Choley.

Paul will be remembered for his fun nature with a zest to tell it like it was all the while making people laugh, and his love for his family. He was an avid music lover, and his favorite song is "AIl Summer Long" by Kid Rock. Paul enjoyed dancing and Word Search books as well as outings with family and friends and especially weekly dinners with his, "sweetheart", daughter, Sharon and her family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Although Dad had enjoyed hunting with his brother Roger in the nearby woods, it would have benefitted him to open his eyes so he could see them when he tried to shoot them.

A special thank you to Kathleen Miller and Charlene Bushey for the love and care they provided Paul during his last days of life.
