Paula Diaz-Diaz

Rensselaer- Paula "May" Diaz-Diaz, 83, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 6, 2017.

She was born on June 7, 1934 daughter of the late Jose and Epifania Diaz-Diaz.

May was a great caretaker who took great pride in cooking and caring for the people she loved. Her everlasting beauty, both inner and outer, will always be remembered. Paula's home was always welcome to her family and their friends and she had a wonderful sense of humor, an infectious smile and a love of life and a vivacious spirit. She will be deeply missed by everyone who was privileged to love her and of course eat her cooking.

She was predeceased by her sons, Jose Reyes, Frankie Reyes and Jorge Reyes.

Paula is survived by her children, Maritza Torres (Jorge), Marlyn Ellis (John), Pauly Reyes (Bolo), Lourdes Reyes, Anita Diaz (Negrito), Elizabeth Guder (Mark) and Juan Diaz (Arisleida); daughter-in-law, Anita Seeloff-Reyes; her brothers and sisters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A service to Celebrate Paula's life will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Friends and Family are invited to share condolences from 10:00am-11:00am at the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
