COLONIE – Paula M. Audi- Osterhout, 64, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long courageous battle with leukemia, with her beloved husband by her side. Born in Albany, she was the loving daughter of the late Anthony J. and Julia J. (Gabriel) Audi, Sr. She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute, Maria College and St. Peter's School of Nursing. Throughout her career as a registered nurse, Paula worked at St. Peter's Hospital in the E.R. for twenty years, the Hebrew Academy as a school nurse and then at Seton/Capital Region Family Center. Paula enjoyed gardening, crafts, quilting and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a fan of the NY Mets, Boston Red Sox and the NY Jets.
Paula is the beloved wife of forty years to John H. Osterhout. She is the devoted mother of Michael (Amber) Osterhout of Saratoga and Julia (Jared) Stone of Burnt Hills. Paula is the cherished grandmother of Lucas, Parker and Cameron. She is the adored sister of Anthony (Deborah) Audi and Robert (Lisa) Audi, all of Colonie. Paula is the adored daughter-in-law of Edith Osterhout and the special cousin of Nicholas Audi. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Paula's family would like to thank the entire nursing staff of the 6th floor and Glen Cooper and Gary Walker at Albany Memorial Hospital, Dr. Joseph Dudek of NYOH, and Dr. Robert J. Soiffer of Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 12:15 p.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, Loudonville. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
