September 22, 1949 — July 27, 2014

Schenectady – Paula M. Collins-Pravel, 64, formerly of Union St., passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Albany Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Stephanie and Edward Rupinski.
Born in Schenectady, Paula graduated Mont Pleasant HS and Mildred Elley Business School. She worked for Joe Mastrianni, and later pursued an award winning sales and marketing career with Delmar-Thomson Learning (Cengage), NewKirk Products and the American Marketing Association. (NYCRAMA)
Paula was a communicant of the Church of St. Adalbert. She was the loving mother of Patrick Collins and Jessica (Billy) Stephens both of Clearwater, Fl.
Paula is survived by her loving husband, John Pravel; sisters Margaret (Walter) Herderich of Delanson and Marie (Richard) Godlewski of Rotterdam; also survived by nieces and nephews.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Adalbert's Church, 550 Lansing St. Schenectady, NY.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY.
Interment will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Paula's name may be made to the Church of St. Adalbert or the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY.
The family extends special thanks to her caregivers at Memorial Hospital, Albany Medical Center, The Community Hospice and devoted friend Carol Beeler for the exceptional compassion shown to Paula.
