Paula M. Mirabile
July 2, 1954 — October 30, 2014
Colonie- Paula M. Mirabile, 60, passed away, Thursday, October 30, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Olga Mirabile. She is survived by her soul mate of nearly 30 years, Edward A. Marcy. Paula is also survived by her cousin and "twin sister" Nicolena P. Barone, her brother, Gary and niece J'aime Mirabile, and two special aunts, Victoria Ragone and Ellen Gregory.
Paula worked nearly 40 years for NYS OMRDD and retired in 2010. Paula was an extremely talented and clever individual who could create anything out of nothing. She was unselfishly giving with her time, talents, support and spirit to anyone in need. Paula's generosity touched the lives of many dear friends and individuals. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Rosary Guild and contributed her considerable crafting skills at many functions.
Paula leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends including her dear friends; Mary and Mark Russo and Debbie and Eleanor Cioccki. Paula is reunited in heaven with many loving relatives and friends especially Aunt Grace Barone, Carolyn Marcy and her partner Harold Heikkila, Joseph A. Marcy Jr and Dave Ryan.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Laura Pica, the caring staff of the St. Peter's ALS Regional Center and Albany County Hospice for all of their care and compassion. The family would also like to thank all the people who supported Paula throughout her journey.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Peter's ALS Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany NY 12205 or Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry, 607 Central Ave, Albany NY 12206.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 7th, 2014 from 4pm to 7pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany NY 12205. A memorial mass will be Saturday, November 8th at 9:00am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206. Burial will take place following the mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
