Paula M. Maniscalco, Rpa

Colonie- Paula M. Maniscalco, RPA, 70, passed away on September 25, 2017 at her home. Born on May 25, 1947 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Leone) Maniscalco, Sr. Paula was a graduate of SUNY Brockport with a degree in Health and Physical Education and taught and coached at Averill Park High School. She then graduated from the Registered Physician's Assistant program of Albany Medical College through Hudson Valley Community College. She worked at Albany Memorial Hospital for more than 25 years as a Surgical Physician's Assistant. She retired in 2012. She enjoyed golfing, traveling and her beloved Shelties. Paula was a communicant of Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Albany.
Paula is survived by her brother Joseph J. (Georgia) Maniscalco, Jr.; her nephew Jason A. Maniscalco; her dear friend Judy Mysliborski and her faithful canine companions: Forest and Dune.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, September 28 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, September 29 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany, NY. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Paula's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204 or The Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave, Scotia, NY 12302.
