Malta – Paula Schwinning, 61, passed away Friday January 29, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a year long battle with cancer.
Paula was born in Albany the daughter of the late June Stammel and William Clemens. Paula's greatest joy in her life was her family, but always had a special place in heart for her dogs.
She is survived by her devoted husband Walter Schwinning, sister Claudia (George) Stanton of Pepperell, MA, children: Sandra Jean (Brian) Hill of Attleboro, MA, Teri Moore of London England, Sheri (Frank) Szemplinski of Colonie, NY and Scott Schwinning of Hickory, NC, grandchildren: Justin Moore and Haylielyn Szemplinski, sister-in-law Carol Moore and several nieces and nephews. Paula is also survived by her beloved canine companions Harley and Oliver.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday 12:00 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
