Paula Taylor, 92, a resident of Greenville, S.C. and formerly of Colonie, NY and Tampa, Fl., passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024, with her daughter Deborah by her side.
Born on June 17, 1931, in Rensselaer, NY, Paula was the daughter of the late Marco and Anna Martino.
Paula retired from NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and then enjoyed spending time with her husband Danny. Paula's Italian cooking was enjoyed by her family and many friends and their home was always open for a party. She also enjoyed spending time with her siblings, particularly to watch and critique Yankee baseball.
In addition to her parents, Paula was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Daniel Taylor, and her daughter, Pamela Taylor Dawkins. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Albert (Sophie) Martino, Loretta (Anthony) Amedio and Sylvester (Natalie) Martino.
Paula is survived by her daughters, Karen (James) Costello of Bluffton, South Carolina and Deborah (Jeffrey) Conwell, of Greenville, South Carolina. Her grandchildren, Jami Costello (Justin Mueller), Shannon Costello, Kyle Conwell, Brendan Costello, Cpt. (USAF) Taylor Conwell, Ryan (Kaley) Dawkins, and great granddaughters Evelyn and Lucy Mueller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her lifelong friend Nin Eckert.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
Paula was laid to rest beside her husband at Gerald B.H.Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
