AMSTERDAM – Pauline Ida Rockenstire, 81, of Amsterdam, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.
She was born in Albany on December 17, 1941 a daughter of the late John J. and Mary L. (McCormick) Rockenstire. She attended Albany schools and graduated from Albany High School.
Following high school, Pauline worked for over forty years with the NY State DMV in Albany until her retirement. She lived in Albany for many years. Following the passing of her mother, she moved to Amsterdam to be closer to her family.
Pauline had several different pets throughout her life. She truly loved her animal friends.
Pauline is survived by her brother, John J. "Rocky" Rockenstire and her her sister, Janet (Rockenstire) Smith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and several great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
The committal will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie.
