Pauline Stalker, 95, passed away on December 31, 2021. She was born July 19, 1926 in Detroit Michigan to Frederick Curtis Basins and Ruby Queen Gage Basins.
As a child, she lived in Worcester NY with her grandmother, Bessie Gage before moving back to Detroit where she graduated from high school. She told stories of living in a boarding house with her father, and while he searched for work, she would go to the movies.
She moved back to the Albany area after graduation and lived with her cousin June Ellis in downtown Albany. She worked as a telephone operator in Albany, NY, as an administrative assistant for a dentist in Albany, and at the Guilderland Elementary school and Lynwood Elementary school as a secretary in the main office.
She met the love of her life, Vincent (Pete) Stalker at a roller-skating rink and got engaged on February 26, 1949. They married on June 25, 1949 at her grandmother Bessie Gage's home in Worcester N.Y. Vince passed away on August 24, 1997.
She is survived by her loving children; Patricia Mosall (Michael Mosall), William Stalker (Catherine Stalker), and Cynthia Stalker (Darrell DuPont), her grandchildren, Michael Mosall II (Heather), Jason Mosall, Nathan Klaus, Kara Kupzyk (Jason), Grant Stalker, and Jeremy Stalker; and her great grandchildren Audrey, Emerson, Lyla, and Henry Mosall, and Kate Kupzyk, her sister Helen Schmidt (Donald), her niece Charity Winslow and her nephew Fred Schmidt (Eileen). She was predeceased by her beloved niece, Melody.
She loved her family, reading, traveling, going to concerts, shows & movies. She loved animals and children. She enjoyed summering at Lake Desolation New York and wintering in Ocala Florida for many years and her trips to England, Italy, France, Hawaii and cruising were some of her favorite memories.
Services will be announced at a later date. Interment will take place in the Prospect Hill Cemetery Guilderland.
