Schenectady- Pearl B. DeVoe died on Monday, March 26, 2007 at home after a long illness. Born in Amsterdam, NY and a graduate of local schools, she resided in Amsterdam until moving to Colonie in 1995. She was a member of the former Trinity Reformed Church in Amsterdam. Pearl worked in the Quality Control Unit of G.E. Power Systems for over 21 years as a laboratory technician.
Pearl is survived by her husband Clinton DeVoe, whom she married May 17, 1977, and two daughters from her first marriage; Faye Andrews Nowicki and son-in-law James Nowicki and grandsons, Glen and Gregory Nowicki all of Niskayuna and Barbara Andrews O'Bryan of Albany, grandson Neil O'Bryan and granddaughter Tierney O'Bryan Podell of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by a step-son Clinton DeVoe and wife Judy, step-granddaughters Courtney and Stacey DeVoe of New Rochelle, NY, two sisters; Anne B. Kolodziej of Hagaman, NY and Patricia B. Cleary of Delmar, NY and several nieces and nephews.
