Pedro Lazaro Leon Gomez, 66. Born September 17, 1951 in Havana, Cuba. He was preceded by his father Angel Leon Querali and mother Narcisa Gomez Garcia one brother and two sisters.
Pedro was educated in Havana, Cuba. He came from Cuba to the United States in 1980. He was a construction worker and also made a living doing odd jobs as a mechanic. He really loved cars. He would use any regular household item to make a car run. Pedro also loved his family very much, especially his only great-grandson Azari. Pedro fought a tough battle for several years before taking his final breath.
He leaves behind his loving wife Sharon Welcome-Gomez, one brother Jorge Cardenas, two sisters Juanita, and Barbara, seven step-children Julio Sadina, Garry Murray, Wakenya Bonds, Shawan Lumpkin, William Bonds Jr., Ozire Mitchell, and Jallah Tarver. He also leaves behind brother in laws Percy (Helen) Webb Memphis TN, William (Linda), Charles, Edward, John (Patricia), Michael (Regina) Welcome; Sister in law Joann Welcome and fourteen grandchildren Henry Hopwood, Malik Murray, Dioshjanique Davis, Cliqujion Rock, Jordan Fray-Murray, Clioshjanae Rock, Hazziez Wallace , William Bonds III, Cliqlyejuan Rock, Hazzier Wallace,Jamare Jackson, Quemahji Murray, Jayvion Mitchell, Samere Goldston and one great grandchild Azari Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Church of God, 920 State Street, Schenectady, on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12 noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon.
