ALBANY- Peggy A. Schindler, age 69, passed to new life unexpectedly surrounded by family on October 11, 2024.
Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. and Ruth H. Grup. She was also predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Eric Schindler on June 17, 2024.
Peggy attended school in Duanesburg, NY and graduated from the Cono Christian School in Iowa where she was a member of the traveling choir. She had a successful career in marketing. Peggy was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an active member of her church and community, and was a conduit for giving and volunteering of her time.
She was known to share her love of God with everyone around her and was seen as a source of strength, positivity and encouragement. She was an artist who enjoyed painting and loved traveling to see family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Loreal (Ross) M. Froat; her grandchildren: Branson and Emery Froat; her sister, Mary (Frank) Papesh; sister in law, Laura Fisk; brothers in law: Edward (Barbara) Schindler, Kurt (Cynthia) Schindler; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Liberty Church at 1840 Albany Street, Schenectady, NY 12304. The calling hours will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the paying of respects from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A service and opportunity to speak of experiences may be shared from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. concluding with light refreshments from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
